Eligibility
Gr. A: Passed / appearing in the final examination of 10 + 2 with Science.

Gr. B: For Item 1, passed / appearing in the final examination of 10 + 2 with Mathematics and relevant subject. For Item 2, passed / appearing in the final Examination of 10 + 2 in any discipline.

Gr. C: For Item 1, Passed / appearing in the final Examination of 10 + 2 securing at least 45% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in the relevant Subject. For Item 2, any degree from a recognized University.
Candidates securing 50% marks or grade point average 5.5 in 10 point scales will be eligible for applying for Group A & B Courses.
Candidates for admission to Group A & B Courses are advised to collect their Application Form & Prospectus on payment of Rs. 500/- in cash from the designated Branches of SBI from 24.04.09 to 23.05.09.
Separate Application Forms are to be submitted for Group A & B.

MERIT LIST: A merit list will be prepared on the basis of scores in the written test. A separate merit list will be prepared for the Physically Disadvantaged (PD) candidates. Qualified candidates whose name would appear in the merit list will be called for an interview.

PATTERN OF AUAT-2009: For Group A there will be two papers. Paper 1 will be on English and General Knowledge and Paper II will be on physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (in the ratio of approximately 1:1:2). For Group B there will be one paper of three hours duration-it will be on English, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Mathematics all having equal weightage. Questions in these papers will be of objective type in the form of multiple choice questions, which are to be answered on a specially designed machine-gradable sheet (ORS - Optical Response Sheet) using Black ballpoint pen only.

SCHEDULE OF AUAT-2009: The examination will be held on 28/06/09 as per the schedule given below:

Introduction:
The University of Mysore is among the foremost institutions of its kind, and is an enduring symbol in the sphere of higher education in India. It was founded by the then Maharaja of Mysore, His Highness Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV and his Dewan, the renowned engineer statesman, Sir M.Visvesvaraya, on July 27, 1916. Eligibility for Admissions:

For admission to any of the above Integrated First Degree programmes Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Further the candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and should have adequate proficiency in English.

Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2009 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2008 only are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2009 test. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2007 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2009. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2009

Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2009. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12th examination, as mentioned above.

Course : Ab-initio to CPL Course
Training : Ground and flying training for issue of CPL with Multi–engine endorsement and Instrument Rating (IR) on Multi-engine Aircraft
Duration : 15 months (may get extended)

Eligibility

Passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent with Physics, Maths & English as main subjects with minimum qualifying marks as below:

General Candidates

i. Passed English in 10+2 level
AND
ii. Minimum Marks in Maths 55%
AND
iii. Minimum Marks in Physics 55%

For General candidates possessing higher qualification with Maths and Phy. as subjects, minimum qualifying marks in Phy. and Maths are 50% in each subject.

Note:-

Selection: Selection procedure consists of Written Test, Pilot Aptitude Test (WOMBAT), Viva and Interview in the following manner:-

a) Written Test:

At allotted centers on 2nd August, 2009 (Sunday) at 10:30 hrs onwards.

Examination Centres:

(Option for two centers is to be made giving first and second choice)

Syllabus for Written Test:

General English, Maths, Physics & Reasoning (10+2 level and objective type only).

Qualifying Marks in Written Test:

60% for General category, 55%for SC/ST and OBC candidates. However the total numbers of shortlisted candidates after written examination will not be more than three times of the total seats in respective category and the same will be selected in order of merit irrespective of the number of candidates who qualify in the written exam.

Written Test Result:

Result of Written Test and schedule of Pilot Aptitude Test/ Interviews will be available at IGRUA website at http://www.igrua.gov.in/ after 12th August 2009.

b) Pilot Aptitude Test (WOMBAT)

To be conducted at Delhi, for candidates from Delhi and neighbouring states from 19th Aug. 2009 onwards.

For other candidates at IGRUA, Raebareli from 7th September, 2009.

Minimum qualifying marks for Pilot Aptitude Test are 70%.

No relaxation in marks will be given for SC/ST/OBC Candidates in Pilot Aptitude Test.

c) Interview/ Viva:

Interview and viva for all successful candidates in Pilot Aptitude Test will be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli from 8th September, 2009 onwards.

Candidates will be required to produce following documents in original at the time of interview:

(i) Proof of Date of Birth ( such as 10th Class certificate )

Those who download the application forms from the website should submit the completed form along with the crossed a/c payee demand draft of Rs. 450/- payable at Gwalior in favour of Registrar, Jiwaji University, Gwalior. They can collect prospectus along with roll numbers one day before the entrance test from the control room.

M.Sc. (Geospatial Science and Technology) and M.Tech. (Geomatics)

 

Indian Institute of Surveying and Mapping, (IISM), Survey of India, Hyderabad, a premier institution under Ministry of Science and Technology, imparting training and education in the field of Surveying, Mapping & other related subjects, has invited applications for admission to the M.Sc. (Geospatial Science & Technology) and M.Tech. (Geomatics) Programmes recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. 

M.Sc (Geospatial Science & Technology) and M.Tech (Geomatics) courses, each with an intake of 25, are of two years duration consisting of 4 semesters, to be conducted at IISM with the Degrees to be conferred jointly by IISM and JNTU, Hyderabad.

Applicant for admission to M.Sc. (Geospatial Science & Technology) must be a Science graduate having Mathematics as subject at least at Plus 2/Intermediate/Higher Secondary level. They have to appear for an entrance examination to be conducted by JNTU. Applicants sponsored by Central/State Govt. Organizations or Public/Private Institutions, must be Science graduates having Mathematics as a subject at least at Plus 2/Intermediate/Higher Secondary level with minimum 2 years experience in Surveying/Mapping/GIS/RS. They have to appear before a screening Committee at Indian Institute of Surveying & Mapping, Hyderabad for their selection.

For admission to M.Tech (Geomatics), applicant must have BE/B.Tech/AMIE or equivalent in any branch of Engineering or M.Sc in Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science/Earth Science/Electronics. Applicants have to appear for an entrance examination to be conducted by JNTU. Applicants sponsored by Central/State Govt. Organizations or Public/Private Institution must have BE/B.Tech/AMIE or equivalent in any branch of Engineering or M.Sc in Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science/Earth Science/Electronics with 2 years experience in Surveying/Mapping/GIS/RS. They have to appear before a Screening Committee at Indian Institute of Surveying & Mapping, Hyderabad for their selection.

Those who have appeared for the examinations in current session can also apply for both courses, subject to submitting the successful certificate during admission.
Application Form along with Prospectus will be available at IIISM, Survey of India, Uppal, Hyderabad- 500 039 during office hours on all working days from 2.4.2009 to 29.5.2009 on payment of Rs. 50/-.

They can be obtained by Post from the Institute, by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- of any Nationalized bank drawn in favour of 'E&AO, IIS&M, Hyderabad' payable at Hyderabad along with a self addressed envelope of size 32 cm x 26 cm.  Prospectus and Application form can also be downloaded from here or from here.

Filled in application must reach IIS&M on or before 5th June.2009.

Entrance examination for both courses will be conducted by JNTU on 10.07.2009 at 1000 hrs, at Survey of India offices located at Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehra Dun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Kolkata, New Delhi and Pune depending upon the availability of candidates to appear in these places. Applicants selected for entrance test will be intimated by Registered Post/e-mail by 24.6.2009.

 

Entrance Examination for M. Tech (Geomatics) will have sections from (i) Computer Graphics and Programming (ii) Conventional Surveying, Remote   Sensing and Photogrammetry (iii) Geo-Sciences (iv) Probability And Statistics.

5. Work Experience Teacher (WET) (Electrical): (1)

Higher Secondary). (ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1. The number in brackets shows number of posts available. It could vary without notice.
2. The date for determining age/experience/qualification shall be as on 1.1.2009.
3. The minimum age is 18 years for each post.
4. There is no age limit for the Council employees.
5. The experience wherever prescribed should be in the relevant area/field
