| Job Description | You will be part of a team working on the design and development phases of a LEO Earth Observation Satellite System. Tasks include: o Configuration of a satellite mission, analysis of individual aspects, definition of the system and subsystem specifications and support to internal and subcontracted acitivities right up to the satellite launch and operation phase. o Ensuring that the satellite required performances are met during all the satellite life-cycle phases o Definition of the space segment architecture and design o Responsible for the generation and maintenance of Satellite Specifications, ICD, satellite modes definition and AIV procedures o Coordination of design, development and AIT activities of satellite Qualifications o MSc or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering. Alternately MSc in Physics. Experience o 5 year experience in Satellite AIT activities. o Strong background in all phases of LEO Satellite life-cycle (design, development, manufacturing, integration, launch and in flight operation) o Experience in the generation and maintenance of system budgets (mass, power, pointing, data, propellant, link) o Experience in the propulsion subsystem development life-cycle is highly desirable. Knowledge & Skills o Working knowledge of earth observation payloads architectures and subsystems. o Deep Knowledge of Space System Engineer Process and Standards o Deep knowledge of major satellites subsystem. o Deep knowledge of satellite hardware qualification and acceptance standard and process. o Knowledge of DOORS SW package would be an advantage o Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, in particular MS Project. o Capabilities to manage suppliers and subcontractors. o Fluent written and spoken English o Your personal characteristics include a preference for working in a team, the ability to work under strain, creativity, reliability and responsibility. |
