The MCQ Test paper will be held in one session on Sunday, the 19th June 2011.

The scheme of Examination is as under:
Single Paper:MCQ Marks:200 Timings10.00AM-1.00PM Duration  3 hrs

To enable the candidates to go through the questions, the question paper booklet shall be distributed 15 minutes before the scheduled time of the exam. The Answer sheet shall be distributed at the scheduled time of the exam.
The Test Booklet for this test will be printed in Hindi & English Version separately. The candidate opting for Hindi
medium in Column No. 5 of Application Form, will be supplied Question Booklet/Test Booklet printed in Hindi Version
only and Candidate opting for English medium, will be supplied Question Booklet/Test Booklet printed in English
Version only. The candidate will be required to answer as per option exercised in Column No.5 of application Form.

SYLLABUS OF THE TEST

The question paper shall be divided into three parts, (A,B & C) as per syllabus & Scheme of Exam.
# Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Science, Quantitative
Reasoning & Analysis and Research Aptitude.
# Part 'B' shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics
given in the syllabus.
# Part 'C' shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or
application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply
the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.
# A negative marking for wrong answers, wherever required, shall be applicable as per scheme of Exam.

    As per notification the submission of hard copy of application for NET 2011 is possible only through certificate of posting.Now India post have withdraw ed the service of Certificate of posting? What is the alternative? any clarification from csir-ugc?

    Candidates for the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for JRF and eligibility of Lectureship (NET) June,
    2011 are advised to send their completed application Forms (Offline)/Hard copy of Online
    application within the stipulated period by ordinary post in case Under Certificate of Posting
    (UPC) is not available.
