National Centre for Biological Sciences, under Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai has invited applications for admission to the following courses offered at NCBS, Bangalore and DBS, Mumbai
PhD (NCBS and DBS)
Integrated PhD (NCBS and DBS)
MSc by Research (only at DBS)
iBio (only at NCBS)
MSc in Wildlife Biology and Conservation (only at NCBS)
Eligibility:
PhD programme: Masters in Basic Science or Bachelors in Applied Science. These include MSc (Ag), BTech, BE, BVSc, BPharma (4 yrs course), MBBS, BDS, MPharma.
Students with training in Physics or Chemistry are encouraged to apply to the programmes.
Integrated PhD / MSc by Research Programme: Bachelors in any Basic Science.
MSc Wildlife Biology & Conservation: Indian nationals who have a Bachelors degree in any discipline (with a minimum of 50% in core subjects), less than 35 years of age as on July 1 2012 and a strong interest in wildlife research and conservation.
Students who expect to complete their degrees by July 2012 are eligible to apply.

Students from remote areas who do not have access to internet may apply manually. They may send a request for an application form (without DD) along with a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 10) envelope (size 25cm x 17 cm) super scribed GS-2012 to the following address:

The completed application form should be sent along with DD and two passport size photographs (one pasted on the application and one stapled to it).
Application Fee (Non-Refundable): Rs 500/- for online applications and Rs 550/- for manual applications. Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Rs.800/- for students taking the test as walk-in candidates.
Application fee can be paid online by Debit/Credit Card or through Demand Draft.
