ARCI, Hyderabad for its 5 years sponsored project (CFCT) located at Chennai, invites applications in the prescribed form for filling up the following posts on contract basis:

Project Senior Scientist

Name of Post: Project Senior Scientist
No. of Posts: 04 (Four) Posts
Gross Total Emoluments: Rs 73,976/48,744* (depending on qualification and no. of years of experience, salary will be fixed accordingly).
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Master's degree in Physical Sciences or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a Recognized University PLUS 10 years/8 years research experience in Fuel Cell area (fuel cell electrodics, experience in different analytical techniques required for characterization of fuel cell components, development of fuel cell materials such as catalysts, polymer electrolytes, bipolar plates etc., design of fuel cell components, system integration and application demonstration).
Desirable:
a) Doctorate degree or equivalent in related subject from a Recognized University.
b) Experience of managing and directing R & D projects/programmes.
c) Published research work of high standard.

Project Scientist

Name of Post: PROJECT SCIENTIST
No. of Posts: 06 (Six) Posts
Gross Total Emoluments: Rs. 35,824/-*
Essential Qualifications: Master's degree in Physical Sciences or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ / Technology or equivalent from a Recognized University in Chemical/Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Applied Chemistry/Physics/Polymer/Electro-Chemistry or Materials Science and Technology.
Desirable:
a) Chemical/Mechanical engineers with good knowledge of fluid dynamic analysis/heat transfer/computer aided graphics/modeling softwares such as Solid Works, CFX, ANSYS, MATLAB, FLUENT, NX NASTRAN, Pro-E, Auto CAD.
b) Electronics/Electrical engineers with good knowledge in development of PLC/microprocessor based control system, integrated circuit controls, system integration.
c) Materials/Polymer scientists with good knowledge of synthesis and characterization of such materials.

Please Note:

(i)	Since, project CFCT is a time-bound project (i.e. 5 years from May 2009) requiring expertise in a very specialized area, the experience for each of the above contract post is very critical and among the candidates meeting the essential qualifications, those having such an experience will be given preference over the other candidates.
(ii)	Age: In case of candidates possessing the expertise required by project CFCT, age will not be a consideration.
(iii)	*Gross total emoluments shown against each of the above contract post is at the minimum of the basic pay of the respective post.
(iv)	The selected candidates will be offered purely temporary appointment on contractual basis in the project CFCT and will be posted at Chennai. Their appointment will be co-terminus with the project CFCT (ie.5 years from May 2009) or earlier, based on their performance.
