Introduction:

Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is conducted by the JawaharLal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). JawaharLal Nehru Technological University conducts the entrance examination for admission into various professional degree courses. The Government and private colleges in Andhra Pradesh which provide these professional courses are affiliated to JNTU.

Eligibility:

1. Candidate must be Indian for applying for this Examination.

2. Candidate should be resident of Andhra Pradesh.

3. Candidate must be more than 17 years of age and not more than 22 years of age.

4. 3 years of relaxation is given to the SC/ST candidates.

For B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Hort.)/ B.F.Sc/B.Tech (FS&T)/B.Sc (CA & BM) Courses:

1. Candidate must have cleared 10+2 level from any of the recognized University.

2. Those candidates who are currently pursuing their 12th class can also apply for this examination.

For MBBS/BDS Courses:

1. Candidates must have passed higher Secondary level education with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the compulsory subjects

For B.Pharma Course:

1. Candidates must have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry , Biology as the compulsory subjects.

For Bio-Technology:

1. Candidates must have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry , Biology as the compulsory subjects.

2. Candidates must have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry , Biology as the compulsory subjects.

Key Dates:

Commencement of Application Form: Mid of February, 2009.

Last date of receiving application Forms: Mid of March, 2009.

Last Date of Submission of completed application form: Last week of March, 2009.

Date of EAMCET Examination: First week of May, 2009.

Duration of Examination: 3 hours.
